The third and final season of Cerebrum arrives like a breath of fresh air on Tou.tv’s Extra, temporarily freeing us from the shortage of new shows on our screens. Still written by Richard Blaimert, this conclusion allows us to find Dr. Henri Lacombe, played by the always excellent François Papineau, now a criminal profiler for the team of Simone Vallier (Christine Beaulieu) and Danno Boulianne (Olivier Gervais-Courchesne).

Unlike the first two seasons of the series, where we followed the investigators trying to find the culprits, this third version places us on the side of the antagonist, while the viewers become accomplices in the crimes that will be committed from the first episodes. In the role of the executioner, we find Mélissa Désormeaux-Poulin, who plays a malevolent role for once. This solitary woman, marked by the past, dependent and with a murderous instinct, will not fail to attract your attention, as she attacks doctors who have made medical errors. What drives her to act this way? It will be up to investigators Vallier and Boulianne, with the help of Henri Lacombe, to shed light on it.

Meanwhile, Simone Vallier is still struggling to cope with the criminal death of her lover, while Henri Lacombe seems to be peacefully finding happiness again with a new lover (Hélène Florent), his children and a healthy baby who has just joined the family. Will this happiness be short-lived or is it here to stay?

Added to this are of course a few peripheral intrigues that fill out an already gripping plot. Between the patients of Doctor Lacombe, who has also kept his practice as a psychiatrist at the National Institute of Mental Health, the pitfalls of the protagonists who are experiencing mourning or separation, some secondary characters who add question marks and more, the televore has enough to get his teeth into not to get bored. In directing, Guy Édoin envelops his proposition in an aura of mystery.

Maxime Le Flaguais, Schelby Jean-Baptiste, Sara Montpetit, Kelly Depeault, Isabelle Brouillette, Stéphane Jacques, Claudia Ferri, Kevin Houle, Nora Guerch, Charlie Fleurant, Karl Farah and Martin Laroche join an already formidable cast, which includes Marie-Chantal Perron, Henri Picard, Marianne Verville, Anglesh Major, Ludivine Reding, Éric Robidoux and many others.

It’s to do!

The first five episodes of Cerebrum will be released online on Thursday, July 4, and the next five on Thursday, July 11, on ICI TOU.TV EXTRA. The series will air on ICI TÉLÉ in winter 2025.
