Plus belle la vie: which serial killer inspired Pascal’s character? Davy Sardou answers – News Series on TV

It’s been a few weeks now since Davy Sardou made his entrance into “Plus belle la vie, encore plus belle” to slip into the shoes of Pascal, the new nurse at the medical practice.

On Tuesday, June 18, Davy Sardou made his entrance in Plus belle la vie, encore plus belle in the role of Pascal Brach, a nurse who came to the Mistral to strengthen the ranks of the medical practice. However, viewers quickly discovered that he had actually settled in Marseille in order to make Jennifer’s life a living hell.

Little by little, he interfered in her life and made her lose all her bearings. A Machiavellian plan that allowed Pascal to get closer to the young woman… to better take revenge. The two characters seem to share a heavy secret.

The inspiration for the character of Pascal

To create the character of Pascal, Davy Sardou told our colleagues at Télé Loisirs that he was inspired by Jeffrey Dahmer, an infamous serial killer. In the 1980s, the man nicknamed the “Milwaukee cannibal” confessed to the murder of 17 young men.

His morbid story was also adapted into a series by Ryan Murphy a few years ago. For the occasion, it was Evan Peters who adopted the look of the criminal. The artistic direction had a lot of ideas at the beginning and finally, they opted for this direction.”, explained Davy Sardou to our colleagues.

They planned everything down to the smallest detail. I was able to give my opinion but we were pretty much in agreement on the direction to take. I went down a day before the shoot to do some tests. Pascal is quite pale so I was made up.”

His hairstyle is not mine and I don’t wear glasses. I don’t need them. These glasses are quite striking. They tell the character well. He also has an impeccable and neat side that we absolutely wanted. He is also clean-shaven.

The bad guys are the most interesting characters” according to Davy Sardou

Davy Sardou also confided in our colleagues about what attracted him to the role of Pascal. His story was so complex that it made me want to play him. The bad guys are the most interesting characters.”

“The fact that Pascal is schizophrenic gives me the opportunity to really show two sides of the same character since he is charming at first. He is accepted in the office. He is friendly, helpful, rather nice.

On the other hand, he is completely manipulative, borderline psychopathic with Jennifer“. It remains to be seen how far he will go to get revenge… The answer will be in the next episodes of Plus belle la vie, encore plus belle.
