After their great success in the 1980s, clip-on earrings are making a comeback this winter.
This fashion accessory can be worn on all lobes, pierced or not.
Clips have evolved and now allow you to wear imposing curls without having to worry.
Clip-on earrings are back. The flagship accessory of the 1980s and 1990s has returned to fashion shows and fashion magazines. And even the stars come back. French actress Camille Cottin explained to the fashion magazine Voguethat she wore a pair of clip-on earrings at the 2022 MET Gala. But the queen of clip-on earrings remains Camilla Parker Bowles, who already wore them at her wedding to Charles III in 2005 and has since multiplied the pairs with each of his royal appearances.
Less heavy models
Clip buckles combine several advantages. In addition to being able to be worn by everyone, they can be heavier than classic buckles, because they will not pull on the hole and therefore not deform it and hurt. The weight of the earring is thus distributed over the entire earlobe. This is why major luxury brands now offer XXL clip buckle models. Well designed, these curls highlight the face without it being obvious that they are clip-on. If the lobe allows it, they can even be worn in accumulation, with two or three clips per ear.
Less painful clip curls?
No more pain in your lobes after wearing a pair of clip-on earrings for five minutes. From now on, the clips are pleasant to wear on a daily basis thanks to systems which pinch the ears less tightly or which are covered with a small plastic pad. They do not slip and no longer cause pain, because certain models can be adjusted according to the thickness of the lobe. These earrings are also very practical for people with sensitive ears. Indeed, for most people who can only wear classic gold earrings, it is possible to wear fancy clips. Since the loops do not penetrate the pierced hole in the lobe, the risk of allergy and infection is almost non-existent.
