“Viewers are not stupid enough”: TPMP and C8 unfairly removed from TV? A famous host reacts to the future of the Hanouna show

With the announced closure of C8 in February 2025, the future of TPMP on television is still unclear. Where Cyril Hanouna ensures that he is working with his managers to find a solution that will save the show (the latest rumor indicated an arrival on CStar), nothing has yet been done today. An uncertainty which delights the host's detractors, but not Patrick Sébastien.

A few days after complimenting Cyril Hanouna on his work, the former flagship presenter of 2 once again wanted to defend the talk show. Asked by Le Parisien about the upcoming disappearance of the channel on TNT, he was offended by Arcom's decision: “This is not normal. They deprive 2 million people of their evening show.

A closure of C8 unfair to the public?

Even though the program would be the origin of numerous controversies and breaches of the law, which made it possible to make C8 the most sanctioned channel in the history of television, the former MC of the Largest cabaret in the world regrets such a sanction. “I like Cyril Hanouna, I watch him with normal people at home and it's neither more nor less than commercial coffee“, he explained.

While the program is regularly accused of lacking pluralism in the choice of its guests or its subjects, Patrick Sébastien believes that “viewers are not stupid enough to form their opinion only with that!“. And added: “They know what to take and what to leave. We despise these people once again“.

A point of view which should not motivate Arcom to change its mind, but which should still please Cyril Hanouna.
