CANAL+ and Eurosport renew their agreement at the last minute

The Eurosport channels were supposed to disappear from CANAL+'s offerings but a deal was reached between the two groups at the last minute. The channels therefore remain and others also arrive.

The Eurosport channels were due to leave the CANAL+ offerings at the end of last week if no agreement between the encrypted channel and the Warner Bros Discovery group was found.

Sports and youth channels

This was done at the last minute since on Friday, at the end of the day, the French group announced the renewal of the distribution agreement for Eurosport channels, both in and in Switzerland.

CANAL+ customers who have access to these channels in their offer will therefore be able to continue to benefit from them for years to come. They will be able to see major competitions such as the Australian Open, the US Open, the Alpine Skiing World Cup or even the Milan-Cortina Olympic Games in 2026.

The agreement will also allow CANAL+ customers to add the Sport de Max option as a complement, in order to benefit from the most complete sports offering offered by the American group.

In addition to sports channels, the agreement also concerns youth channels. Indeed, CANAL+ has announced the upcoming arrival of Boomerang, Cartoon Network as well as Cartoonito in the offerings in France.

A partnership that lasts

In January 2024, the two groups signed another distribution agreement allowing CANAL+ to broadcast Warner Bros. films. Pictures six months after their theatrical release in France.

Another partnership was signed last June aimed at integrating the Max streaming service into certain CANAL+ offers.
