“Here it all begins” Summary of the episode of November 20, 2024
Alice is in the hot seat
At the Institute, Alice confides to Gaspard that she went to consult a specialist who gave her tests. It seems that she has Asperger’s autism. Alice insists that he not tell anyone. She doesn’t want this to be known at the Institute. She wants us to continue to see her as chef Wiesberg and not as the autistic chef. Gaspard thinks that talking about it would allow others to know how to behave better around her. But without success. Joachim enters the kitchens to repair an oven. Alice is forced to teach students at the Studio. But the working conditions are not optimal and the noise bothers Alice. Suddenly, she announces to the students that she has to leave because she has an appointment with a specialist.
A little later, Antoine approaches Alice in the park. He heard that the professor left her class to go see a doctor. Concerned about his state of health, Antoine comes to the news. Only, Alice tells him that she simply went to see a dentist, and that there was no emergency, so nothing to worry about. For Myriel, this behavior is unacceptable! Teachers must not abandon their students, but rather anticipate and above all inform them in the event of an absence. Myriel calls into question Alice’s pedagogy. He has no choice: he must talk to Teyssier…
Teyssier blackmails Malik
Rose and Enzo burst into Teyssier’s office. Rose places harsh criticisms of the Master’s leaders’ concepts on his desk. They emphasize that the students are demoralized and Rose demands that Teyssier go and apologize to them. Emmanuel retorts that he is not the author of these criticisms and claims to be unaware of the identity of this anonymous critic.
Maya joins Malik at the café when he receives a message from Teyssier. Maya quickly realizes he is the anonymous food critic and doesn’t understand his motives. Malik defends himself by explaining that he was framed. Initially, he was to criticize the entry of chef Armand, but Teyssier read his review and was won over. Subsequently, he asked him to do the same for the Master’s chefs, but he did not expect that he would attract criticism. Back at the Institute, Malik goes to the director’s office. He points out to Teyssier that the young chefs of the Master feel humiliated and are demoralized. Teyssier replies that it will eventually pass to them. He then asks Malik to write a review on all the dishes that the Master’s chefs will prepare from now on. In exchange, he and Clotilde will reconsider his last note. If he ever refuses, he will report it to the heads of the Master. Malik gives in to her blackmail.
Milan accuses himself of theft to protect Anais
Anaïs and Milan spent the night together at the Marais roommate. At daybreak, the young woman suffered from dizziness. Milan, worried, wonders. Anaïs ends up revealing to him that the doctor has diagnosed a genetic disease affecting her inner ear. She then tries to reassure Milan by assuring him that after the operation, she will no longer suffer throughout the day. Milan doesn’t understand why she didn’t postpone the tasting. Anaïs explains to him that this menu is of particular importance to her.
Milan, concerned about Anaïs’ health, turns to Constance Teyssier to find out more clearly about the illness she is suffering from. He thinks Anaïs has otosclerosis. To get answers, he makes Constance believe that her cousin has this genetic disease of the inner ear and that he needs clarification, because he is very worried. After listening to the symptoms described by Milan, Constance explains to him that urgent ear surgery is necessary, and that it is crucial that her cousin gets plenty of rest, otherwise he will become hard of hearing.
At double A, Zoé informs Stanislas that a great Bordeaux wine is missing from the wine cellar. Stanislas turns to Billie to find out if she is the one who received the box. Billie confirms and specifies that it is stored on the back shelf, high up. Zoé points out that she’s not there. Billie goes down to the cellar to check. But Zoé was right, the wine is nowhere to be found. After the service, Billie confides to Vic that Stanislas lectured her by telling her that she must have made a mistake in her order. Mattéo overhears their discussion and confides that he saw Milan in the cellar this morning while he was off duty. The young man wonders if he stole them. Billie is doubtful. Vic, for his part, suggests that Mattéo go and talk to management about it.
A little later, Teyssier confronts Milan and asks him what he was doing in the wine cellar. The young man claims he was looking for a bottle to put in a dish. Teyssier doesn’t appreciate being made fun of. He accuses Milan of having stolen the great wines. Teyssier is even convinced that Anaïs is covering for him. Milan maintains his innocence, in vain. Teyssier warns him: he will put pressure on Anaïs and push her to the limit. He specifies that until she denounces him, she will not be able to return to the kitchen, which will compromise the success of her event menu. Cornered, Milan accuses himself of stealing the great wines in order to protect Anais.
