It has been several days since Flavie announced to all of France that she was ill. “In February, I had surgery for a cyst on my shoulder. I started the show and when I came back from the farm, the doctor contacted me. In the end, it wasn’t benign, It was clever. I collapsed.”she recently explained to our colleagues at Pocket TV. Indeed, in the middle of filming Love is in the meadowyoung Flavie learned that she was suffering from cancer. Doctors diagnosed him with sarcoma, a malignant cancerous tumor that grows in the body’s soft tissue cells. Aged 21, Flavie has just completed more than five months of treatment combining chemotherapy and immunotherapy. A difficult ordeal during which she was able to count on the precious support of Valentin, the farmer she met during the show.
If this ordeal occurred in the middle of filming for the famous show broadcast on M6, the production claims to have met Flavie’s expectations. “When Flavie called me, I fell out of my chair. I will remember this phone call all my life. Valentin had called me two days before saying: ‘It’s been seven years since I last been so happy’. For me, at that moment, there is no longer a show that matters. It’s her who decides.explained Gabriella Mather, producer of the show, to Le Parisien. If the young woman decided to continue the adventure, she still reveals that she only had one request: “My only request was that we bring forward the weekend filming at my place” . To which Valentin retorted: “I couldn’t show up at the hospital without knowing his family.” No matter, the couple’s request was carried out and everything was able to go as they wished.
During an exclusive interview with our teams, Valentin notably explained the consequences of the illness on Flavie, including one of the most visible effects: the loss of her hair. A very difficult moment for him: “I had a lot of trouble because cutting them off overnight is not easy, I had a hard time getting used to it. And then, she didn’t give me a choice, it That’s what hurt me anyway because she’s not alone, you have to think about others… She’s quite directive like that, we’re forcing your hand a little and that’s something that I don’t like it.” A decision that he has since accepted even if the pill was obviously not easy to digest.
