This Thursday evening, Arte takes us into the life of Nona, 70 years old, her daughters and her future baby…

Elisabeth Perrier, everyone calls her Nona. A feminist activist, she is responsible for family planning in the Goutte d’or district of Paris. Nona raised her triplets, now 44 years old, alone. Manu, stay-at-home mother (played by Virginie Ledoyen), Gaby, sexologist author of a book “The couple, a solid monster” (Clotilde Hesme) and George (actress and director Valérie Donzelli), who still lives with his mother .

Nona, 70 years old, has an affair with George’s thesis director, André Breton, a guy who is obviously a little surrealist. One day, Nona’s doctor tells her that she is five and a half months pregnant. Her daughters learn it. They talk about it around their 4 x 4 birthday cake, “44 years old, a year off-road” the girls laugh. But Nona doesn’t laugh, because she doesn’t want this child.

The first series of Valérie Donzelli

For her first series co-written with Clémence Madeleine-Perdrillat, Valérie Donzelli draws on Nona and her daughters the touching portrait of a middle-aged woman turned upside down by a completely unexpected motherhood. The men don’t have the best roles but they are there: a family doctor, a devoted midwife, a clumsy lover, a confused husband. A comedy about family, motherhood, parentage treated with tact and humor. Nine episodes in short format: 30 minutes each.

Nona and her daughters, Arte 20 h 55.
