VIDEO – The journalist apologized numerous times to a singer after an incident that occurred on the show.
Presenting a live show is not easy and it is not Anne-Élisabeth Lemoine who will say otherwise. The presenter of “C à vous” is known for regularly making blunders in front of her guests but, this Tuesday, November 12, it was a technical bug that she had to face on France 5.
After having notably interviewed Romain Duris for his new film A missing part directed by Guillaume Senez, Anne-Élisabeth Lemoine welcomed Milo Thoretton, the singer of the group Asphalt who came to perform his song Groundswell a live. “We are delighted to welcome on the stage of “It’s yours” a very promising artist who first posed for photographers and paraded for major fashion designers before choosing music. He is performing this evening for the first time live on television. Good evening Asphalt »launched the host to introduce her guest who co-wrote the title with Benjamin Biolay.

“This is the first time this has happened…”
Milo Thoretton then takes his place accompanied by his musicians who launch the first notes of the piece. The young man immediately seems to have a microphone problem, he turns towards his companions and touches his ear where his audio feedback is nestled. He starts his song anyway… but no sound comes out. His companions suddenly stop playing, quickly understanding the technical problem. “There is a small problem yesnotes Anne-Élisabeth Lemoine. Indeed we couldn't hear anything Milo. Let's start again. Is the microphone problem fixed or not? Ah, this is the first time this has happened…”confides the host.
She then asks Milo Thoretton to test his microphone without success. “No, there’s nothing at all? There is no microphone, it's complicated to sing without a microphone…”she continues, heading towards the stage with a so-called “backup” wireless microphone. “Is there a break? Is there anyone in management? Something blew up”she then shouts, making the guests who remained on the set laugh. Then suddenly the sound seems to return. “That’s it, it works!” It's yours »she says, causing more laughter.

After the performance, Anne-Élisabeth Lemoine presents the piece before telling Milo Thoretton with humor: “Do you want to join us or are you definitely pissing us off for this mic problem?” »
“I'm sorry, it was rock… Sorry, it wasn't the best conditions…”she admits. “No, but it was fun… It’s going to get more airtime!” »replies the young man with a smile on his lips but without really being heard because, once again, his microphone does not work.
“In general, people love snags, things like that! In addition, there is no microphone at all. It doesn't work, that's great! »exclaims the host who then takes the time to introduce the artist. The latter is none other than the son of the actress Chiara Mastroianni and the visual artist and filmmaker Pierre Thoretton. “This technical hitch is good because it saves you from all the annoying questions about your parents…”laughed Anne-Élisabeth Lemoine, visibly short of time before Bertrand Chameroy's column.
