Guest of France 2 during the night from Saturday to Sunday, the president of the RN denounced “the censorship of unions on large companies”. Like the SNCF, whose advertising agency refuses to contravene the “principle of neutrality”.
This is the political-literary event of the end of the year. As soon as his book What I'm looking for (Ed. Fayard) released in bookstores on November 8, Jordan Bardella launched a major media operation. Guest of France 2 on the night of Saturday to Sunday, the president of the National Rally (RN) returned to the controversy which surrounded the publication of his first work, where personal history and political journey mix.
While Fayard had signed a promotional campaign with Mediatransports – which operates the advertising panels of the SNCF, among others -, the railway authority decided to terminate the contract based on the nature of the book. That of a “practicing politician” the display of which in stations would have undermined the “principle of neutrality” specific to the company.

Leaving his publishing house, which denounces “an attack on freedom of expression” take Médiatransports to court to force it to “execute your broadcast contract”Jordan Bardella preferred to see the glass half full. “I have been exposed for several weeks to a form of censorship from the unions which put pressure on large companies like the SNCF”lamented in the show “What a time!” the nationalist MEP. Who is ultimately determined to take political advantage of these blockages: “We have the stupidest left-wing movement in the world because it produces the opposite effect.”
“Not an autobiography”
“When they say “we must ban the book by the president of the RN”, I find myself at the top of sales on Amazon”insisted the young nationalist leader. And to encourage trade union organizations to “continue” in this way. “It gives me publicity!”he squeaked. It must be said that the controversy over the merits, or not, of the ban on book advertising has largely contributed to its media coverage. More perhaps than the promotional campaign itself would have done. If the first sales figures will only be known in a few days, Jordan Bardella “thanks” already Médiatransports for its indirect help.
During his interview, the boss of the RN also returned to the aim of his book. “It’s not an autobiography”he insisted, saying “getting tired of being attacked, pushed into (ses) retrenchments on ideas which are not the (his)». With the objective of “reconcile the French with politics”the 29-year-old manager judges that he “you have to give of yourself”.
