The Minister of the Interior, Bruno Retailleau, spoke of zero tolerance in all areas and he proves it once again. This evening, he announces that he has just reported to the Public Prosecutor the tweet of a member of Insoumise which justifies the violence and “the hunt for Jews” which took place in the streets of Amsterdam. Marie Mesmeur, deputy for the 1st constituency of Ille-et-Vilaine, wrote about the people lynched in the street: “These people were not lynched because they were Jewish, but because They were racist and supported genocide.”

Anger this evening from Minister Bruno Retailleau at these unacceptable comments:

“I have decided to report to the Prosecutor the comments of Deputy Marie Mesmeur, under article 40 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, for apologizing for a crime.”

“Genocidaires”, “genocide supporters”: these are the labels that you and your friends constantly attach to your adversaries. Your justification for pogromist violence is serious. As a national elected official, she commits you heavily,” Licra denounced this Saturday in a tweet, while the host Arthur expressed a feeling of “nausea” on the same social network.

Even the left is divided in the face of this tweet from the LFI MP. . “Each of your words damages the Republic a little more. This endorsement of violence and anti-Semitism is destructive. It undermines the anti-racist fight,” denounced the socialist president of the region, Carole Delga.

“When we confuse terrorism and resistance, mass rape and heroism, no wonder we end up justifying lynching! », castigated former minister Laurence Rossignole.

Elected PS from Paris, Lamia El Aaraje (hostile to any agreement with LFI) called on her socialist comrades to definitively break with Jean-Luc Mélenchon’s movement after this message: “Enough. Now!”
