During the previous council, in the episode of “linked destinies”, Gustin had failed to warn Cassandra of the danger weighing on her, thus preventing her from using Maxim’s immunity necklace to protect herself. Returning after a victorious duel against her partner on the island of the cursed tribe, the young novelist seized the opportunity to oust her ex-ally with the help of Ugo.
“Thanks for eliminating me.”
The latter, having in his possession two immunity necklaces after having recovered the one that Maxim had not played, chose to give one to Cassandra during the council. With four votes against her, she was thus saved and was able at the same time to orchestrate the ouster of Gustin, also targeted by four votes. “Even though Gustin had betrayed the Reds by voting for Sarah, he always assured me that he was with me, that we would protect each other. A promise bound us both” Cassandra explained to Puremédias. “It’s a betrayal.”she adds. “I was really very angry, I wanted to eliminate him,” she confides again. “For me, when you create strong bonds with a person, you don’t betray them even in a game!”

Following the broadcast of the episode, the 26-year-old Swiss did not hesitate to post an ironic video on social networks, seeming to ignore his elimination. “Thank you for eliminating me, finally I can go eat!“, he quips, popping a bottle of champagne, which he then drinks from the neck. “Thanks to all the haters“, he wrote to accompany his video. “Finish well among losers. Ilyesse brings back the 100k brother“, he adds, not without a touch of bitterness.
Very close to Iyesse and Thibault, who became his official allies after he rallied to the ex-yellows to get Sarah out, Gustin attracted the wrath of several other participants such as his former teammates Ugo, Maxim, and Cécile .
