An incredible epic whose filming was not easy, as Samuel Le Bihan told us. “It takes a lot of money to film at sea” he says with a smile. “As we didn't have any, we set off like warriors, to bring back the most authentic film possible.“. To our colleagues at Télé 7 Jours, he explains, when asked if he has encountered any difficulties: “It was just that! If you want to have as many problems as possible, go make a film at sea! As we didn't have the means to shoot in the studio, we only worked with reality. We were too hot, too cold… We were adapting to the weather, but we were exhausted.”

But the climatic conditions were not the only difficulty encountered by Samuel Le Bihan: “I also got seasick” he admits. “There was a day when I spent my time throwing up! And like I had to lose 10 kilos for the sake of fiction, I watched others eat while I had to make do with next to nothing. It was nothing but trials. But at no time did we refuse this difficulty.
