The Open or Blue Books show, which took place on Sunday May 5, in Molières, was a bet. It’s a success! The Friends of the Media Library association, under the presidency of Gisèle Lecornué, was able to bring together a large number of volunteers to make this day a multicultural and multigenerational event. The dictation, among the activities offered by the Francas de Tarn-et-Garonne, brought together a school teacher for young and old around a sheet of paper, a writer, in this case Jules, and spelling! Certificate of studies required, there were a few mistakes, but four winners were offered a prize: a voucher for books or works proposed by the thirty exhibitors.
They, coming from the four corners of the region, were won over by the atmosphere given by the village, the beauty of the room welcoming them and, signature of a large literary salon, the gastronomy, the team of cooking workshop, around its chef Paul, having prepared an anthology couscous!
If the morning started slowly, the show was full all afternoon, and each of the exhibitors said they were ready to come back next year. Many writers and artists do not have the recognition they deserve and owe their notoriety to their presence in these salons.
The Friends of the media library spare no effort throughout the year to organize hikes; sewing, cooking, music workshops; exhibitions; concerts; conferences… She set up this first show thanks to the support of the municipality of Molières, which contributed to the organization, with logistics provided by municipal employees and the loan of infrastructure; from the community of communes of Quercy Caussadais for help with communication, and finally, thanks to the patronage of traders.
The local writers and artists thank the volunteers of the Friends of the Media Library who spared no effort for this initiative. This generosity gives heart to the work: writing and creating!
The appointment is therefore made for the first Sunday in May 2025, second edition, with already ideas…
