What are the books from your childhood?

Of all the age groups surveyed, it is young people who say they read the least. 80% say they read, compared to 86% for the general population. One in five young people therefore never open a book and among those who read, 49% of them admit to doing so only occasionally.

WHEN YOUNG PEOPLE TURN AWAY FROM READING.

Today, young learners much prefer the image to the book. At most, they prefer digital reading which they find easier. In any case, the observation is general: students no longer read, which impacts their language level, with their French being mistreated. Morality, young people no longer master conjugation and grammatical rules. The deep reasons for this “reading crisis” are to be found in school and even university environments, the low level of students, outdated and unsuitable programs…

Children want to grow up and want to do like adults. If their role models spend their free time in front of the TV, it is logical that the child prefers TV to books. They think that reading is useless because they don’t see people around them who thrive through reading.

What is the most read book by children?

The little Prince occupies the undisputed first place on the list of the most translated children’s books in the world.

The adventures of Pinocchio, Alice in Wonderland, the tales of Andersen and Pippi Longstocking follow.

Memories still anchored in memory

As a child, I loved it when my parents read me storiesand even today, remembering my favorite childhood stories still makes me feel the same way I did then.

Memories and feelings from stories that our parents told us at bedtime are shared by many children – and adults – around the world.

And you, what is this book that left its mark on you?
