Jean was unlucky in the episode of Koh-Lanta, the immunity hunters broadcast this Tuesday, May 7 on TF1. While he went to get something to eat, he injured his ankle. Less than 24 hours later, the verdict was in, announced by Denis Brogniart himself: the 25-year-old carpenter was no longer able to continue the adventure in the Philippines, which led to his immediate elimination from the game. A month earlier in the adventure game the candidate of the ex-Matukad (the red team) had played a central role in the elimination of Maxime, of whom he was nevertheless close. He had in fact chosen to reveal to his teammates the engineer’s plan to eliminate a few reds after reunification. “He was opportunistic“, Maxime confided to Tele-Leisure about his fellow carpenter. And to regret his silence since his return to France: “The minimum I could have hoped for, what would have made me happy deep down, it was just a little message from him just to say “I’m sorry“. Questioned in turn by us, Jean agreed to justify himself on this turning point in the adventure.

Tele-Leisure : In episode 7 of Koh Lanta, you revealed to your red teammates Maxime’s desire to eliminate them after reunification. Do you feel in hindsight that you betrayed him?
Jeans : I actually have a little regret at not having been able to continue the adventure with Maxime. He was a complete adventurer, as good in camp as he was in games. But I have no regrets about having voted against him because he shot himself in the foot by wanting to do too much strategy with each of the reds, too early in the game, even before reunification. When we talked about it among ourselves, we wondered who had the right version and to whom Maxime had told the truth. That’s what I told him to his face. I didn’t feel confident with him but I would have liked to continue the adventure with him in terms of comfort, play and camp.
Maxime told us that he regretted your silence towards him since your return to France. Have things improved since then?
I have an uncommunicative temperament. I haven’t contacted anyone per se, even on social networks I am inactive. I already have a lot to do in my daily life between my family and my job. I have nothing against anyone, it’s just my temperament. But I managed to call Maxime back. There is no animosity between us. If I meet him tomorrow in the street, I will chat and go for a drink with him with great pleasure. She is a very beautiful person.
