Huge favorite for season 3 and these two characters with surprising developments

This Thursday, October 3, Netflix treats its subscribers with the arrival of season 3 ofHeartstopper. After a less impactful season 2, the British series is regaining color and has some nice surprises in store for us.

Aside from a rather exciting trip to , season 2 ofHeartstopperalthough still as cute, did not manage to excite us as intensely as the first. Still adapted from Alice Oseman’s graphic novels, season 3 is therefore a decisive step in determining whether Heartstopper was the favorite of a single season or if it can be established in the long term and renewed. In this sequel, we obviously find Charlie (Joe Locke) and Nick (Kit Connor). The two teenagers are still madly in love but must deal with Charlie’s eating and depressive disorders. Around them, couples come and go, while the prospect of entering university sows doubt within the group. And it’s a winning comeback, which quickly wins back our sensitive little hearts.

Heartstopper season 3: a sequel that can be devoured without moderation on Netflix

Paradoxically, if the series regains color and regains its splendor, it is nevertheless darker in the subjects covered. Indeed, Charlie’s eating disorders, outlined in season 2, take on a much more worrying dimension here and proportions that are difficult to manage for the two teenagers. But the darkness of the subject is offset by writing and acting of infinite delicacy, giving rise to a much more emotional season 3, for the characters and the viewers alike. The couples formed by Darcy (Kizzy Edgell) and Tara (Corinna Brown), as well as Elle (Yasmin Finney) and Tao (William Gao), also take up more space, each with their own obstacles. Elle’s trajectory as a transgender teenager is developed with beneficial accuracy, in both saving moments and discrimination. Tao also abandons his whims from season 2 and reveals a new, much more endearing face.

Heartstopper : absolute favorite for Isaac and Tori in season 3

One of the greatest qualities ofHeartstopper is to have succeeded in establishing a fresco of characters just as interesting as the two protagonists. But in this game, two characters constitute the best surprises of these new episodes. If we detected in them a fairly strong potential for popularity, intrigues had always relegated them to the background and to discretion. But both, each in their own way, stand out now. First of all, Isaac who, since he managed to admit to himself and admit that he considered himself asexual and aromantic, is glowing! If he always has a book grafted in his hand, the interpretation of Tobie Donovan illuminates each scene in which he appears, with a charisma of his own and a repartee that we did not know about him. Tori (Jenny Walser), Charlie’s shy sister, also works wonders. Without losing her pout and her joviality worthy of Wednesday Addams, she reveals herself through the support she gives her brother during this difficult period. Raw and sensitive, she becomes one of the characters that moves us the most. After eight episodes, we still want more!
