It has been explored since 1967 to discover a little of the underground world dug into the limestone millions of years ago. The guided tour begins with a staircase of 252 steps leading to a depth of 60 meters.
Then there are spaces occupied by incredible geological curiosities, such as giant stalagmites and stalactites of various shapes, rock disks defying the laws of gravity, calcite crystals, suspended draperies… In certain places, this decor is reflected in the clear water of the natural pools, giving a magical impression.
The route lasts about an hour, at a temperature of 14°C (bring warm clothing) and, at the exit, a small train takes you back to reception. On the same site, but on the surface, the Discovery Trail takes you on two 35-minute loops through the scrubland, but also an astonishing relief with dolmens, meanders and strange rock formations. Signs indicate the path, and a lérot, the mascot of the place, throws puzzles at you to solve.
