Tomorrow Belongs to Us: Summary of the episode of September 30, 2024

Chloe has a student party

At breakfast, Alex offers to take care of dinner. Chloe informs her husband that the nursing school student union is having a party tonight and that she plans to go. Alex points out that it wasn’t planned and asks how they’re making arrangements for Celeste. Chloe replies that she’ll pick her up before going out. Diego and Mia gently tease Alex about his somewhat outdated macho side. Chloe explains that the party is a costume party and that the theme is “shock detail”. Alex and the two teens throw some ideas at her, but Chloe calls Camille to ask for her help. Maud’s sister comes by a few minutes later with a bag full of costumes and accessories. Finally, Chloe finds the perfect outfit for her party: a slightly sexy nurse costume with syringe-shaped earrings. At the end of the day, Alex drops his wife off near the party venue and warns her to be careful.

Aurore embarks on a treasure hunt

Aurore arrives home to look for the famous divorce papers that her husband hid. She wakes Samuel who is on leave today and was hoping to sleep in. He suggests that she do the rooms one by one. Aurore starts at the entrance and finds an envelope in a drawer of a piece of furniture. It contains a feather. With Samuel’s help, she starts a treasure hunt. She finds the second envelope hidden among the feathers of the pillow, and it contains a message from William asking her to remember the first evening. That’s when Aurore receives a call from Manon who reminds her that she has to take her to her rehabilitation session. At the end of the day, Aurore goes back home. On Samuel’s advice, she looks in the pool skimmer and finds another envelope. It contains a small plastic pig. Aurore deduces that the next clue is in Manon’s car. She explains to Samuel that Manon had been so embarrassed by the color of the car William had given her that she had decided to tag it with a snout and a corkscrew tail to encourage him to repaint it.

Aurore was right. She discovered one last envelope in Manon’s vehicle. It contained the signed divorce documents as well as a message from William, in which he told her that if she really thought their relationship was over, she could sign them. He specified that if she had managed to interpret the clues in the treasure hunt, it meant that they were still somewhat connected. And finally, he apologized for leaving, but he needed to think about the whole situation. William also slipped a collage of family photos in the envelope, showing them looking happy. Moved, Aurore let out a few tears. At the same time, she received a call from Soraya. Aurore took the opportunity to tell her that she did not want a contentious divorce. She preferred to stick to a traditional procedure.

Victor forces employee to lie

Early in the morning, Timothy thanks Bart for his reaction yesterday. He had the reflex to bring him his noise-canceling headphones when he had his tantrum. Timothy then informs Bart that he will post an ad this morning to look for another apartment. He thinks that after what happened, he no longer wants to live with him. Bart replies that he does not want him to leave and explains to him that one of the advantages of sharing is that when one is not doing well, the other is there to support him. He adds that on the other hand, he must talk to his father so as not to let the situation get bogged down. Then, he encourages Timothy to stop being jealous of Charles, because his father loves him and will not replace him. But Timothy remains convinced that his father prefers Charles to him.

The young man arrives ten minutes late at the police station, which is not his usual practice, and apologizes to Martin and Damien. He specifies that he would understand if Martin was angry or wanted to reprimand him. The latter reassures him by saying that he forgives him. Then, Damien informs them of his progress in the investigation. The fire started in the electrical panel. Given that he had already discovered traces of accelerator and that the electrical installation was compliant with the standards, this strengthens the hypothesis of insurance fraud. Timothée deduces that the person responsible would therefore be his father, or Damien’s mother. Martin tells Timothée and Damien that he would understand if they do not feel comfortable with this hypothesis and that he can remove them from the investigation. Damien, for his part, cannot imagine his mother capable of such an act, but if she must be investigated, he will be impartial.

At the winery, Julien, the cellar master, informs Victor that the police want to talk to him. Timothée’s father replies that he must tell the investigators what they agreed. He points out that they don’t know anything about wine anyway and that he can easily confuse them with technical terms. A few minutes later, Martin goes to the winery and explains to Philippine and Victor that the fire was criminal. Then, he questions the cellar master and asks him how much he estimates the losses to be. Julien replies: 200,000 euros. He adds that the biggest loss is the harvest. Martin is doubtful, because Julien looks at Victor each time before answering him.

At the Spoon, Diego runs into Camille and accuses her of reporting him. Camille defends herself by explaining that she wasn’t well and that she just talked to her mother. She then apologizes to him and they reconcile.

At the police station, Sara informs Martin that Julien, the cellar master, was apparently at home when the fire broke out at the estate. At 7 p.m., he was having a friend over for the evening, but the fire started between 7:15 and 7:20 p.m.

Not far away, Charles goes to the Little Spoon to check on Valentine and ask if she has any information about the investigation. Valentine reassures him that she did not inform the police that this year’s crop yield was poor. She also finds it strange that two days after Julien gave her this information, the stocks caught fire. Valentine then asks Charles if he was involved in the fire. He claims that this is not the case.

Timothy, for his part, confides in Bart that he is afraid that he will resume illegal activities. He adds that he is watching him and for the moment, he has found nothing. At the end of the day, in a deserted alley, Victor gives Julien, the cellar master, an envelope full of bills. He demands that he also lie to the insurance agent. Timothy, who had an appointment with his father, arrives at the same time and observes them.
