“Such a tool does not exist”: X (ex-Twitter) denies Cyril Hanouna’s accusations against Arcom and the implementation of an automatic reporting tool
“Such
      a
      tool
      does
      not
      exist”:
      X
      (ex-Twitter)
      denies
      Cyril
      Hanouna’s
      accusations
      against
      Arcom
      and
      the
      implementation
      of
      an
      automatic
      reporting
      tool

Now, know this, Arcom has set up a thing: you go directly to Twitter and you make a report“. On Monday, September 2, during the back-to-school broadcast of “Touche pas à mon poste”, Cyril Hanouna promised to answer all viewers’ questions regarding Arcom’s decision not to renew C8’s frequency. And in particular what would happen to “TPMP” from March 1, 2025.

“They took down an entire channel because they didn’t like a presenter”

Until February 28, 2025, Cyril Hanouna has promised to “fight to the end to keep C8“. “What will become of TPMP?“, he asked himself. “‘TPMP’ will continue until the end of February, C8 will make numerous appeals so that this decision of the Arcom (does not succeed). Today, there is the Council of State, other appeals“, he said without giving further details. Before concluding: “I will be there, I will fight until the end so that the 400 employees have work in March. Whatever I do, I will take them all with me, I will continue to fight for my ideas, your ideas.“.

Cyril Hanouna also mentioned the various fines imposed by the audiovisual police, saying that he was being taken as a “target” by Arcom. They took down an entire channel because a presenter wouldn’t come back to them between 6pm and 9pm. That’s all!” he launched. He even argued that the regulatory authority had “threw something“, to simplify the way to send him reports of a program, in particular those that he hosts.

You go straight to Twitter and make a report. That, already, is nonsense! Excuse me! That means that anyone can make reports all day long. I’m sure there are… A robot can make reports all day long on ‘TPMP’. We know very well that it’s nonsense, and Arcom is basing itself on that“, denounced the star presenter of C8.

A report can only be made via a form or by mail

Except that in reality, there is no way to report the incident to Arcom directly from X (formerly Twitter). Our colleagues at “CheckNews” even contacted the social network, which confirmed to them “that such a tool does not exist“. When content is “reported” on the platform, there is no option to send this report to Arcom. The latter is brought to the attention of X, who decides whether or not to moderate it.

To enter Arcom on a sequence or audiovisual content, there is no other way than to do it directly on the organization’s website by filling out an online form, or to send it by mail.
