War in Ukraine: the leader of the Wagner Prigojine group has died since his meeting with Putin, according to an ex-US general

“I doubt we’ll ever see him again,” said the former commander of US forces in Korea.

This week the Kremlin reported that the leader of the Wagner group Yevgeny Prigozhin met with the Russian President Vladimir Poutine during “almost three hours” five days after the failed rebellion led by his mercenaries.

But Robert Abrams, a retired American generalis convinced that this has been “staged“. “I doubt we will see Prigozhin publicly again. I think he will either be hidden away or sent to prison or treated in some other way, but I doubt we’ll ever see him againthe former commander of US forces in Korea told ABC News.

Prigozhin dead or imprisoned?

When asked if he thinks the boss of the Russian paramilitary militia is still alive, he replies: “I personally don’t think he is, and if he is, he’s in a prison somewhere.”.

As a reminder, Evgueni Prigojine and his men revolted against Moscow on June 24th. As they marched towards the Russian capital, the Russian oligarch had finally opted for the end of the mutiny by agreeing to go into exile in Belarus to avoid any legal proceedings.

According to Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, the one who is nicknamed “Putin’s butcher” has already returned to Russia but since then it has been unclear where exactly he is.
