The Ivorian Football Federation finally unveils the winner of the prize for Best Player of the Season in Ligue 1. A distinction that Pacôme Zouzoua, the player of ASEC Mimosas, has just received. The ceremony took place this Monday, July 10, 2023.
The verdict had been expected since the end of the season and the awarding of the Ivory Coast champion trophy to ASEC Mimosas. He finally fell. Pacôme Zouzoua is the winner of the Best Player of the Season award in Ligue 1. The ASEC Mimosas midfielder notably received a vehicle offered by the Franck Kessié Foundation.
The FC Barcelona player was also present at the ceremony, which was held on Monday, alongside the president of the Ivorian Football Federation, Yacine Idriss Diallo. Top scorer in the championship with 14 goals, Béranger Diby of FC San Pedro finished second on the podium with the sum of 500,000 CFA francs. The second top scorer, Brahima Ouattara, is third.
The now former Racing Club d’Abidjan striker also received the bonus of 500,000 CFA francs. This third place of Brahima Ouattara on the podium is criticized by some observers. Author of 13 goals and 4 assists in 13 games, the striker who only played the second half of the season deserves more the title of best player of the season.
