NBA: the Raptors have the Hawks’ number

Scottie Barnes scored 24 points and the Toronto Raptors beat the Hawks in Atlanta for the second time in three days on Saturday, this time winning 117-94.

Thursday, they had the upper hand 122-119.

Barnes also contributed 12 rebounds, seven assists, two steals and two blocks. Montreal’s Chris Boucher added 23 points, including a 3-for-4 record on three-point shots. He delivered a fourth game of 17 points or more this month.

Ontario’s RJ Barrett also had 23 points – he too hit the target three times out of four from long distances. Jakob Poeltl stepped up with nine points and nine rebounds.

Toronto will play again Monday night at home, against the New Pelicans.

For the Hawks, Vit Krejci was the most productive with 20 points, four more than Trae Young.

The NBA’s leader in assists per game, Young was limited to four this time around, all in the final quarter.

Leader of his team in rebounds per game, Jalen Johnson was missing due to a left shoulder injury.

He is the Hawks’ third point scorer. The fourth was also absent (De’Andre Hunter, due to an unspecified condition).

Atlanta was beaten for a fourth consecutive time.
