Since Thursday, January 23, Los Angeles firefighters have been working to master the new fire that has started north of the Californian metropolis. The flames are progressing rapidly and nearly 4,000 hectares have already been ravaged.
An impressive smoke column escapes from a blaze in Castaic, California, north of Los Angeles. Pushed by the hot winds, the cloud has covered entire neighborhoods. A new fire broke out to the north of the city on Thursday, and spreads at high speed. The firefighters are on the ground to try to delay the flames, bombarding the water area and an anti -end delay. Nearly 4,000 hectares have already been ravaged.
“We have more than 4,000 firefighters mobilized to fight the fire, it remains difficult to contain, even if we take over”said Anthony Marrona, the Los Angeles County Firefighters. Some 31,000 inhabitants have already received the order to evacuate.
