In its 6 a.m. bulletin this Friday, Météo-France places Morbihan on orange rain-flood alert.
The cause is the storm “Éowyn”, which brings “long-lasting and temporarily sustained rain to Brittany, particularly this evening”, specifies the meteorological agency.
A possible extension of orange vigilance is possible “from Friday evening and the following night”.
Storm Éowyn is approaching the French coast. This Friday, January 24, in its 6 a.m. bulletin, Météo-France places Morbihan on orange rain-flood alert. The agency indicates that “Storm ‘Éowyn’ is currently circulating over Ireland”and that “over Brittany, it brings lasting and temporarily sustained rain, in particular this (Friday) evening when the disturbance reactivates.”
Météo-France specifies that “on the departments currently in yellow ‘rain-flood’”located in the west and northwest of the country, “the highest accumulations expected during the reactivation of the front in the evening still remain uncertain.” Therefore, “an extension of the orange ‘rain-flood’ vigilance from the evening of Friday and the night of Friday to Saturday is possible during the next vigilance maps.”
