Champs D’Or En Beauce Unveils Its Winter Drilling Campaign Along The Antiform Structure

January 22, 2025, Montreal, Quebec, Canada – TheNewswire – Champs d’Or en Beauce (Beauce Gold Fields) (TSX Venture: “BGF”), referred to as “BGF” or the “Company,” is pleased to announce its diamond drilling campaign and sampling program in bulk targeting priority areas along the Saddle Reef type antiform structure. This structure is identified as the probable source of the historic alluvial gold deposits of Saint-Simon-les-Mines.

Patrick Levasseur, President and CEO of Champs d’Or en Beauce, said: “Previous drilling results, combined with the new anomalies identified, justify a targeted program of drilling and bulk sampling to explore the structure that is considered the source of the region’s historic alluvial gold deposits. »

Priority drilling and bulk sampling targets

The Company selected targets based on its 2023 drilling and trenching program, which confirmed gold mineralization along strike of an outcrop. Subsequent IP and geological studies identified an 8 km long Saddle Reef antiform structure. Geochemical studies suggest that this structure is the likely source of historic alluvial gold deposits at Saint-Simon-les-Mines, to the southwest.

In this first phase, Champs d’Or en Beauce plans to drill seven holes totaling 500 meters across two key zones: the Giroux zone and the Grondin zone. Additional drilling phases will be planned based on the results obtained in these areas, as well as in the IP Three and Four anomalies (see BGF press release dated December 10, 2024).

Zone Giroux

Zone Grondin

  • Emplacement : On the northwest side of the Beauce Gold property in Beauceville, Quebec.

  • Details : This 600 meter long section of the structure which lies above borehole GR 23-01, drilled in 2023 (BGF press releases: November 1, 2023 and January 18, 2024).

The Company has filed an “Authorization for Impact Works” (ATI) application with the Quebec Ministry of Natural Resources to obtain drilling authorization. A drill will be mobilized upon receipt of approval.

About Champs d’Or en Beauce Inc.

Champs d’Or en Beauce Inc. (¨BGF¨) is a gold exploration company focused on exploration in the Beauce region of southern Quebec. The company’s flagship property is the site of the St-Simon-les-Mines gold project, site of Canada’s first gold rush, before the Klondike rush in the Yukon. The Beauce region was home to some of the largest historic placer gold mines in eastern North America which were active from 1860 to the 1960s. It produced some of the largest gold nuggets in the world. Canadian mining history (50 oz to 71 oz) (Source Sedar: Beauce July 4th 2018, Rapport 43-101)

The objective of Champs d’Or en Beauce is to trace the old gold placer workings to the bedrock source in order to discover an economic gold deposit.

Beauce Gold Fields is currently exploring recently discovered antiform systems that may have contributed to the development of the vast gold placers of Beauce. The Company’s geological model suggests that the placer gold in the Beauce Gold paleochannel, including the famous large nuggets of the 19th century, formed in pockets of energized quartz within laminated domed antiform axes, exemplified by Saddle Reef formations. Notable global Saddle Reef formations include the Bendigo goldfields in Australia (over 60 million ounces) and the high-grade Dufferin deposit in Nova Scotia.
