Burton Tucker Obituary
It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Burton John Tucker, of Saint John, NB, on Friday, January 17, 2025, due to health complications at the Saint John Regional Hospital, at the age of 56 year. Born on Nov 30, 1968, in Newcastle, NB he was a son of the late Edward & Annabell (nee. Frost) Tucker.
He is survived by his partner Margie Byers, and her two grandsons Braden and Barric whom he loved dearly; two daughters Myrie of Miramichi and Melanie of Saint John; grandson Rian; siblings Russell (Lois) and nephew Josh, and Jennifer (Evans) Tucker of Hammond River. Brother-in-law Cavan Gillespie of Renous; sister-in-law Darlene Tucker of New Jersey along with his special nephew Kevin (Amanda) Tucker and their children Gracie, Ivy, and Hilary, all of Barryville; special niece Sherry Gillespie (Wayne) and her children Ashley, AJ of Miramichi; along with nephew Cavan Jr. Gillespie of Alberta and Sean Dunnigan of Ottawa.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by his brother William Tucker of New Jersey, sister Emma Gillespie of Renous, son Bobby of Saint John, and niece Sheila Dunnigan of Ottawa.
Burton was employed at the Westfield Golf & Country Club. He looked forward to the warmer weather where he would break free and take trips on his Harley. He loved anything to do with cars, bikes, and racing. He would be the one to be in the woods deep in the mud. Whenever Burton, Russell, and Kevin were together they could talk for hours about cars. He enjoyed going to cars shows and smash up derbies that’s where you find him cheering in the grandstands for his nephew Kevin.
Burton will be greatly missed by his friends and family for he was very outgoing, he always loved being around people, and would do anything for anybody.
The family would really like to take this time and send a big thank you to all the staff at the Saint John Regional SICU unit who worked so hard to try everything in their power to keep him alive, but the complications kept stacking up. They definitely went above and beyond; the family appreciated their level of professionalism and compassion during this time of deep shock.

In respecting Burton’s wishes cremation has taken place with no visitation to follow. There will be a Celebration of Life held at a late date on the Miramichi.
