Juraj Slafkovsky was the very first player chosen in the 2022 NHL Draft. While Shane Wright has slipped to fourth place, it is rather with Logan Cooley, the third selection of the auction, that the big Slovakian of the Canadian is often compared. If Slafkovsky had a head start when he made his NHL debut at 18, Cooley has now caught up with him in points.
In his first season, CH #20 only collected 10 points in 39 games. In his second, in 2024-2025, an excellent end to the season allowed Slafovsky to conclude the campaign with 50 points. This season, he has 25 points in 43 games. His career total, therefore, is 85 points in 164 games.
Logan Cooley made his NHL debut in 2023-2024, last season. He did very well with 44 points in 82 games with the Coyotes in Arizona. As for the current campaign, the American has exploded to collect 42 points in 46 games. Career total: 86 points in 128 games.
