here are the new prices for packs of cigarettes as of February 1, 2025

After a notable increase in the price of packets of cigarettes on January 1st, a new price increase will affect some of them on February 1st.

The price of tobacco continues to rise. On January 1, most packets of cigarettes saw their prices significantly increased, by around 30 euro cents on average, and sometimes even 50 euro cents.

As of February 1, the price of certain cigarettes will increase again, as provided for in the decree of January 14, 2025, relating to the approval of the retail prices of manufactured tobacco in mainland France.

Among the main increases observed, those of packets of Gauloises Blondes (+20 to +25 euro cents) and those of the News Classic brand (also +20 to +25 euro cents). All tariff changes are contained on the French customs portal.

These increases, planned by the anti-smoking plan, led by former Minister of Health Aurélien Rousseau at the end of 2023, aim to reach a minimum price of a pack of cigarettes of 13 euros in 2026.
