The actors of the series “Fire Country” encourage donations to the Red Cross to help those affected by the Los Angeles fires, and thank the responders on the front lines, “real heroes” who risk their lives.
The cast of “Fire Country” came together this weekend for a good cause. The stars of the series wanted to show their support for the first responders who are helping fight the wildfires in Los Angeles, and asked viewers to help those affected by making donations.
“We want to express our deepest gratitude to all the firefighters and first responders who are risking their lives and tirelessly battling the wildfires across Southern California. You are true heroes,” declared co-creator and actor Max Thieriot, in a “public utility” video broadcast on the American channel CBS.
Stephanie Arcila (Gabriela) and Jules Latimer (Eve) then appear on screen to share information on how to help, urging viewers to make donations to the Red Cross.
In another video, Max is joined by Kevin Alejandro (Manny), while Billy Burke (Vince) and Diane Farr (Sharon) also encourage donations.
“Those affected by the Los Angeles wildfires urgently need help. Help the American Red Cross provide them with meals and shelter,” says Max. Billy adds, “Donate today by visiting redcross.org/cbs.”
The broadcast of the sequel to “Fire Country”, a series which follows the daily lives of firefighters and inmates fighting together against the flames in California, has been delayed due to the ongoing fires in Los Angeles. Visible in France on Paramount+, it should resume on January 31 on CBS.
Note that members of the casts of the programs “The Neighborhood”, “Ghosts”, “Poppa’s House”, “Elsbeth” and “NCIS” also filmed public service announcements, intended to be broadcast on American television at prime time.
