Like Martin McGuire and Dany Dubé, who cover the Habs for the Cogeco Média radio network, the describer Pierre Houde and the analyst Marc Denis work together to describe and analyze the Montreal Canadiens matches, for the television of the Sports Network (RDS), which belongs to Bell Media.
The four men constantly meet on the road as they follow the Montreal club to the various cities hosting NHL teams. And, they spend a lot of time together, especially on the plane and the bus.
In this long interview, they discuss the reality of this demanding profession which is completely out of the ordinary.
“There aren’t many things that compare to the life we lead. We are the only ones on the plane and the bus. We are a very small group of people who usually have a good time together.”says Marc Denis.
Pierre Houde adds this: “My life on the road with the Montreal Canadiens still excites me as much. Obviously, the word passion is generalized in my career and that includes traveling with the Habs as well as games played at the Bell Center, which represent a completely different routine. These are still part of the same mechanism.”
-That said, the description of the CH matches for RDS underlines that there are irritants, despite everything.
