Jérôme Chevallier is dead – News

Former specialist in BMX, cyclo-cross, mountain biking and road cycling, Jérôme Chevallier has died. He was 50 years old.

Over the years, Jérôme Chevallier has defended the colors of CC Étupes, AC Bisontine, VC Ornans and ASPTT Besançon.

In cyclo-cross, he took 3rd place in the 2007 French Championship behind Francis Mourey and John Gadret. That year, he was French Marathon Mountain Bike Champion.

On the road, in the 2000s, he won the Tour of New Caledonia, the Tour du Chablais, the Grand Prix de Chardonnay, the Tour du Charolais and even the Tour de Corrèze.

Jérôme Chevallier, who continued competing until he was 45, owned a cycle store in Besançon.
