top 10 best launcher games

Who says new console says new games taking full advantage of its capabilities. It is therefore an opportunity to please our retinas, but also to enjoy innovative games, original adventures and gameplay options never seen before. Even if you will have to wait until Wednesday April 2 to find out more about the licenses that we will find on the Nintendo Switch 2there is no doubt that Gotha et Cameto will spend hours on the new Nintendo console in the future. But on which games? This is precisely the question we will try to answer.

After Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom, two absolutely exceptional games, the Nintendo teams are obviously working on a new Zelda game. The question, rather than whether we will be entitled to it, is “when?”. Creating such complete and innovative software (the physics engine in BotW, construction in TotK) takes time, and this is all the more true when you have to adapt to a new support, the Switch 2.

Regardless, we have blind confidence in Nintendo, and even if we will probably have to wait, we are already excited at the idea of (re)discovering the world of Hyrule and finding a Link in 4K with graphics modern.

During the short presentation video of the console, the most alert saw it: the Mario Kart circuit which was in the image was completely new. What conclusions can we draw from this? Quite simply, and even if we’re not going to bet our (huge) savings on it, it seems that Mario Kart 9 is on the menu. Moreover, it should even be one of the games sold with the console for its release.

We can therefore expect a very complete software, which should do like its predecessor and bring together the circuits of many previous platforms (with a total of 96 tracks on Mario Kart 8 Deluxe). For our part, we hope to see the return of Double Dash two-way driving, but this is all speculation. Knowing the Japanese developers, we will be entitled to some great new features.

A new Donkey Kong game

Since 2014 and the release of Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, fans of Nintendo’s gorilla have been orphans. They were entitled to a few remasters, but apart from these few crumbs… no new game has been announced. It’s a shame, especially when we know how popular the license is, and how great the games that come from it are. Donkey Kong Country Returns like Tropical Freeze are considered by many to be some of the best platform games in the history of video games, and we therefore very much hope that a new software is planned for the next Nintendo console.

04

Metroid Prime 4: Beyond

Like the vast majority of games on this list, Metroid comes from an absolutely historic and iconic license in the video game world. On the other hand, the advantage of Metroid Prime 4: Beyond is that it has already been announced. Well, it was 2017, and fans had time to bite their nails up to their elbows. Fortunately, we know that the software will be released in 2025. Without any unpleasant surprises or change in release date, it may even be one of the first games available on the Nintendo Switch 2. So we’ll see you soon, Samus.

Something unimaginable a few years ago, Rockstar Games games ended up appearing in the Nintendo catalog. Indeed, the Grand Theft Auto trilogy (GTA III, GTA Vice City, GTA San Andreas) has landed on the Switch. Logically, we therefore hope that GTA VI, which is not far from being the most anticipated game of all time, will end up being released on the Switch 2. Well, given the time it takes Rockstar to port its games to PC , you’ll have to be patient, but given the awesome apps that are in this list, you won’t have time to get bored! At worst, we can always watch some of the GTA RPs from Cameto.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth

In 1997, a little game called Final Fantasy VII allowed millions of players to experience all the emotions. Today, this cult software is still seen as one of the best games of all time. Luckily, Square Enix recently embarked on a mammoth task by offering a remake in the form of a trilogy. Rebirth is its second game, and it fully deserves (like its big brother) to be included on the new Nintendo console.

Did you really think that this list wasn’t going to contain a new Mario game per se (yes Mario Kart, we know you exist)? Every Nintendo console is partly driven by the sales of its mustachioed hero’s games, and the Switch 2 will be no exception. We looked into the question, and after a Super Mario Bros. Wonder which adopted a relatively classic 2D approach, we think that Nintendo will return to 3D with a sequel to the extraordinary Super Mario Odyssey. It’s impossible to know what new features are on the program, but the advantage with Nintendo is that we know we won’t be disappointed.

Mario back soon?

Like Metroid Prime 4, we are navigating here in “known” territory since Pokémon Legends: ZA has been announced. On the other hand, we still know very little about the software, except that it will be released in 2025. Gameplay, graphics, roster… everything is vague. All we can say is that we hope to find a Pokémon game the way we like them: in a semi-open world, with a plethora of battles and new creatures to evolve. In any case, as the good fan that he is, we expect to find Gotha on the game.

09

A new Animal Crossing game

If Mario Kart 8 Deluxe was the best-selling game on the Nintendo Switch, it was followed by Animal Crossing. The cute life simulation made people happy, 46 million to be exact. It is therefore very likely that a sequel is planned. Will Tom Nook, Marie and Mr. Resetti be back? The answer (we hope) in a few months.

Professor Layton and the New World on Steam

For those who like to rack their brains, Level-5 has announced that the sequel to their successful series, Professor Layton, is coming in 2025. Once again, it’s a safe bet that the game will be available upon its release on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. If you want to test your thinking skills, go for it.

To find out all the information on the new Nintendo Switch 2, see you on April 2 for a Nintendo Direct dedicated to the console.
