Hamas must release three hostages on Sunday, as part of the truce signed with Israel in Gaza. But the terrorists provide little information about their prisoners, particularly concerning their state of health, and will only give 24 hours in advance the identity of the people they are going to release.
A liberation that gets closer by the hour. The truce in the Gaza Strip between Hamas and Israel officially begins this Sunday at 7:30 a.m. French time. For six weeks, the terrorist group committed to freeing 33 hostages, including three on the first day of the ceasefire. But Hamas provides information on the hostages in dribs and drabs, especially if they are still alive. And it is only 24 hours before their release that we will know the identity of the people who will regain their freedom.

-Information given only 24 hours before releases
It is only this Saturday at the end of the afternoon that we will know who the first three hostages will be freed. The other 30 releases will be carried out in stages during the 42 days of truce. The first hostages to be released will in principle be civilian women, children if they are still alive, then soldiers and men aged at least 50. Finally, younger, injured or sick men. At this point, no one knows which of these 33 hostages are still alive.
No certainty therefore on the state of health of the two Franco-Israeli, Ohad Yahalomi, 50 years old and Ofer Kalderon, 53 years old, nor on the youngest hostages, Kfir and Ariel Bibas, aged 2 and 5 respectively. The fate of the oldest hostages, men aged 87 and 84, also raises concern. According to intelligence estimates, about half of the 33 hostages are still alive.
