Fans of suspense series, prepare to immerse yourself in the dark and captivating world of “Dexter: Original Sin”. Broadcast on Canal+ from February 6, this American series made up of 10 52-minute episodes will be offered two episodes per week. Produced by Showtime Studios and Counterpart Studios, and orchestrated by executive producer Clyde Phillips, this production promises to reignite interest in the iconic character of Dexter Morgan.
The project benefits from the expertise of recognized executive producers, including Michael C. Hall (also famous for playing Dexter in the original series), Scott Reynolds (Jessica Jones), Mary Leah Sutton (Resident Evil), Tony Hernandez (Emily in Paris) et Lilly Burns (Russian Doll). The first episode was directed by Michael Lehmann, while Robert Lloyd Lewis (The Lincoln Defense) plays the role of main producer.
Casting-wise, talents such as Patrick Gibson, Christian Slater, Patrick Dempsey, Molly Brown, and Christina Milian join the cast. Sarah Michelle GellarBuffy the Vampire Slayer) also makes a special appearance. And of course, Dexter Morgan’s inimitable inner voice is once again played by series signature Michael C. Hall.
The series explores the origins of the famous vengeful serial killer. Set in Miami in 1991, it follows a young Dexter Morgan as he struggles with his murderous urges. Under the tutelage of his adoptive father, Harry, he learns to channel his instincts by adopting a “code”: that of only attacking those who truly deserve to be eliminated.
-“Dexter: Original Sin” therefore looks back on the beginnings of his career as a criminologist in the forensic department of the Miami police and on his gradual transformation into a methodical serial killer.
