Therefore, the UFC was forced to review its copy and change the main fight at the last moment. It is therefore Renato Moicano, the 35-year-old Brazilian, who will challenge Islam Makhachev in the octagon for the belt this Saturday. He notably swept Benoît Saint Denis during UFC Paris last fall. Moicano is the 10th lightweight contender, he has a record of 20 wins, 5 losses and one no decision in the UFC.

For this UFC 311, the main card is XXL. Apart from Makhachev who will face Moicano, we will find Merab Dvalishvili against Umar Nurmagomedov in the co-main fight. Before that, there will be Jiri Prochazka against Jamahal Hill, Jailton Almeida against Serghei Spivac and finally Kevin Holland who will face Reinier de Ridder.
