Everyone blames each other for the violence. In his requisitions, Philippe Renzi estimated that the two brothers-in-law “did not want the death of this old lady (…) The death of Mauricette is only the tragic consequence of their theft”. Discovered injured at home, Mauricette died ten days later. The magistrate also described the accused as “two violent individuals for whom theft is deeply rooted.” They did it again, in April 2020, in the west of France, by robbing a nonagenarian who they also killed: same crime, same motive, same modus operandi. For these facts, they were sentenced last month on appeal in Angers to 25 years of imprisonment for Moïse Weiss and 20 years of imprisonment for Yohan Bodin.
