Sophie Thibault reveals the sad reason for her absence on screen

Many viewers noticed the absence of Sophie Thibault on the screen and the main interested party wanted to clarify things about this absence.

Before continuing, let’s remember that Sophie Thibault had announced a diagnosis of skin cancer in 2023 and this had forced her to take a professional break in order to put her health forward. In the following months, an operation was necessary to remove a tumor in certain areas to treat his illness.

It is precisely her health problems which force her to take another professional break, however the 63-year-old journalist wants to be reassuring with her fans.

The journalist and head of Antenna at TVA turned to social networks to reassure her fans about her absence, but also to announce her return in around ten days. In addition, the talented Sophie wants to send an important alert to the population regarding the sun.

Indeed, here is the message she published on Instagram:

« Mes ami.es,

Several of you have noticed my absence on the screen and many have expressed your concern to me.

I can reassure you right away: I will be back on January 27.

But, like last year, and since it is unfortunately an almost chronic illness, I had to, once again, treat my skin, to prevent a return of possible cancers.

-

I’m fine, but I need to give my face time to get a new look.

I would like to take this opportunity to remind you that the sun, despite appearances, is not our best friend!

See you soon! »

This is a message that should reassure many, we wish Sophie a lot of courage during this period and we can’t wait to see her back on our screens.

Here is the original publication by Sophie Thibault:
