The Santiago Bernabéu was the scene of a thrilling match as Real Madrid triumphed 5-2 over Celta de Vigo, securing their place in the Copa del Rey quarter-finals.
First, Kylian Mbappé opened the scoring in the 37th minute with a spectacular individual action.
At the start of the second half, the Frenchman was in the spotlight again, delivering an assist to Brahim, who then found Vinicius to make it 2-0.
However, Celta had other ideas and reacted in the 83rd minute when Jonathan Bamba capitalized on a Camavinga error. The equalizer came in added time, Marcos Alonso converting a penalty after Asencio fouled Bamba, sending the match into extra time.
That’s when Endrick was revealed to be the star. The young Brazilian striker, who came on in the 79th minute in place of Mbappé, made his mark in the 108th minute with a left-footed strike from the edge of the area.
