Disturbing rumors are emerging regarding the Nintendo Switch 2, suggesting that the long-awaited console is already available on the black market, several months before its official release scheduled for April 2025.

This surprising information regarding the Switch 2 which would already be on sale follows CES 2025, where several accessory manufacturers presented prototypes and accessories for the future console. Some would even have suggested that their products had been designed using real units rather than dummy models.

The main source of this revelation comes from “Kang”, a renowned informant in the field of Apple leaks, who is said to be an executive at an accessories manufacturer. In a cryptic message posted on Chinese social media in November, he raised the possibility of “ test accessories on the real console », while expressing his reluctance to do so.

Several Internet users already have a Switch 2

These allegations raise several questions. If the console is indeed circulating on the black market, why haven’t we seen any photos or videos of the operating system? Game developers, keen to preserve their relationships with Nintendo, would probably not risk disclosing such information.

This situation is not unprecedented in the technology industry. Recently, Apple’s M4 MacBook Pros ended up on sale in Russia before their official release, and Google’s Pixel smartphones saw similar leaks. These units often come from thefts on production lines.

If these rumors prove true, Nintendo might already be aware and taking steps to locate the stolen unitsor even deactivate them remotely to avoid further leaks. The formidable reputation of Nintendo’s legal department could also deter potential buyers of these illegal consoles.

The proliferation of leaks and the presence of prototypes at CES 2025 suggest that the launch of the Switch 2 is approaching. However, in the absence of concrete evidence of the existence of these consoles on the black market, this information should be taken with caution. Nintendo, true to its usual policy, has not commented on these allegations.
