Historic Match and Sale of Danilo Boza: The President of Juventude Reacts After the Duel Against Boca Juniors

Fábio Pizzamiglio discussed the importance of the match against Boca Juniors on Wednesday evening (15) and commented on the departure of the starting central defender in the last two seasons.

After the friendly match against Boca Juniors, which ended with a 2-0 victory for the Argentines, the president of Juventude, Fábio Pizzamiglio, assessed the significance of this international meeting and practically confirmed the sale of Danilo Boza to Japanese football.

The green-and-white president opened the interview by emphasizing what this preparation match for the Gauchão represented for the club.

— It’s a historic match. We understand that this is the start of the season, and simply the fact that Juventude had the opportunity to compete against a club as significant as Boca Juniors fills us with pride. In particular, in our first half, we had three scoring chances, which shows that the team has a lot of potential after just ten days of training, and we will only grow from here — Pizzamiglio pointed out.

Regarding the negotiations surrounding the transfer of Danilo Boza to Urawa Reds in the Japanese First Division, the president said that the club was already preparing for the financial outcome of the sale in order to make reinforcements.

–The value of the Boza sale was something we were already counting on to make the investments we are currently pursuing. We will watch this team play, identify its needs, in addition to those we are already aware of — admitted Pizzamiglio.

Juventude owns 50% of the economic rights of Danilo Boza, while the other 50% belongs to Mirassol. The defender did not travel to Argentina for the match against Boca as he finalizes the details of his transfer to Japan.

As for reinforcements, the club plans to bring in two more central defenders, a defensive midfielder and an attacking midfielder.
