Maxi López attacks Mauro Icardi’s role as father: ‘We have a conversation going on, let’s see if he’s ready to discuss it’

As part of the ongoing scandal, Wanda Nara’s ex-husband took a dig at the footballer he once shared a close friendship with.

This Wednesday afternoon, Maxi López broke the silence and spoke for the first time about the controversy involving Wanda Nara and Mauro Icardi. Asked about the messages in which the Galatasaray player called him “big hair…”, López was blunt during an interview with LAM (America):

“I haven’t seen any of the cats; it doesn’t matter to me, everyone is going through whatever hell they want to go through. I’m not interested in what they do,” López said. However, he then launched a scathing attack on his former friend: “He never wanted to confront me; he never wanted to talk. We’re having a conversation going on; let’s see if he’s willing to discuss it.”

When asked about his arrival in Argentina and what he thinks about the scandal that indirectly concerns him, López said: “I’m super calm. I’m focusing on my children; I came to spend a few days here.” The journalist then asked if he thinks that Icardi is expecting a child from La China Suárez: “I don’t know, if he continues like that… haha.”

When the journalist mentioned that Mauro refers to him as an absent father, the former striker reacted by highlighting his daughters, Francesca and Isabella: “Ask him if the girls want to be with him.” Finally, López concluded by discussing his current relationship with Zaira’s sister Nara, ruling out any possibility of rekindling their romance: “My relationship with Wanda is great, good, calm. We came to spend time as a family, peacefully. Things eventually come to light and the truth is revealed.”
