Since Kent Hughes and his gang went to see Ivan Demidov in Russia, everything is going well in the best of all possible worlds for the Canadian’s hope.
We knew that the young man was brimming with talent, but in recent weeks, he seems to have more room to express himself on the ice. With good playing time, he can dominate.
And today, the KHL announced that the young man has been invited to the league’s All-Star Game, which will take place on February 8 and 9.
Basically, he didn’t necessarily have to be there. But he will replace Tony DeAngelo, his former teammate with SKA. DeAngelo packed up and returned to North America.
They don’t play the same position, but Demidov replaces DeAngelo anyway.
At 19 years old, Demidov is one of the youngest players in the league. But still, in 43 games, he scored 14 times and had 18 assists, giving him 32 points in total.
With highlights worthy of the best players in the world, we cannot say that the Canadian’s hope has stolen his place.
-The Canadian must hope that he will be able to finish his season strong in order to gain confidence before heading, if all goes as planned, to North America in the coming months.
We can think that in Montreal, its impact will be quite immediate. But to see in due time.
