Death of Jean-Marie Le Pen: justice authorizes Dieudonné to attend the public tribute paid this Thursday in

“I will finally be present at the public funeral of Jean-Marie Le Pen tomorrow at 11 a.m. at the Val-de-Grâce church in . A court order authorizes me to do so at the last minute. Thank you to Madam Judge,” declared on X, this Wednesday, the comedian condemned several times by French justice.

The latter is also today under the regime of home detention and electronic bracelet measures. The measure began on May 15, 2024 and is currently due to end on August 31, 2026 and had to request authorization from its sentencing judge to adapt its release times so that they are compatible with the tribute times public at the Church of Val-de-Grâce wanted by the Le Pen family.

Dieudonné argued to the judge that Jean-Marie Le Pen was her daughter’s godfather, offering press articles as proof of this fact even though he is not related to the Le Pen family. “This element justifies granting his request,” the judge decided. The representative of the public prosecutor had issued an unfavorable opinion on the request.

A few weeks ago the multi-convicted comedian was authorized to perform in his new show. The Paris administrative court validated the holding of Dieudonné’s new one-man show, scheduled until January 15 and entitled “Friday the 13th”, in reference to the 2015 attacks, initially banned by the police headquarters.

“The reality and seriousness of the risks of material disturbance to public order have not been established,” said the judge who suspended the ban order. This “new and final show”, as the comedian presents it on his official website, is scheduled from this Friday, January 3 until January 15, aboard a bus called “Dieudobus” parked at Porte d’Issy, in Paris .
