Azerbaijani gas exports increased by almost 6% last year

“In 2024, oil and condensate production amounted to 29.1 million tonnes, while export volumes amounted to 24.4 million tonnes. Last year, gas production was 50.3 billion cubic meters, up 2 billion cubic meters from 2023. Azerbaijan exported 25.2 billion cubic meters of gas in the year passed,” said Azerbaijani Energy Minister Perviz Shahbazov.

Last year, around 12.9 billion cubic meters of gas were exported to Europe, 9.9 billion cubic meters to Turkiye and 2.4 billion cubic meters to Georgia. During the said period, 5.6 billion cubic meters of gas were transported to Türkiye via the TANAP gas pipeline. The minister said that last year gas sales abroad were about 5.8% higher than the previous year.
