Princess Kate, who announced in early September that she had completed her chemotherapy treatment, said on Tuesday that she was “relieved to be now in remission” from her cancer.
“As anyone who has been diagnosed with cancer knows, it takes time to adjust to a new normal. However, I am looking forward to the year to come,” wrote the wife of Crown Prince William on social networks. She revealed in March 2024 that she had been diagnosed with cancer, the nature of which has not been revealed, and that she had started chemotherapy.
In February 2024, Buckingham Palace announced that King Charles III was suffering from cancer, without specifying the nature, and that he was withdrawing from public life to undergo treatment. The following month, Kate revealed that she also had cancer and was undergoing chemotherapy, before announcing in September the end of her treatment.
-Omnipresent in the media before the announcement of her illness, but almost invisible afterwards, Kate indicated that she was going to resume her royal commitments. At the beginning of November, Prince William, heir to the throne, confided that the past year had been “brutal” and probably “the hardest” of his life.
