Thunderclap in the world of boxing! Tyson Fury quits boxing. The former heavyweight champion announces the end of his career in a short video posted this Monday on social networks. “I’ll keep it short. I would like to announce my retirement from boxing. I had a lot of fun, I loved every minute,” says the 36-year-old “Gypsy King”. While we were expecting a shock against his compatriot Anthony Joshua this year, the former holder of the WBC belt decided not to return to the ring and to remain with a final defeat, less than a month ago against Oleksandr Usyk. Tyson Fury’s record is 34 victories, including 24 by knockout, for one draw and two defeats.

He has already announced his retirement several times

Is this a permanent retirement? The question is legitimate. The British boxer, whose career has also been marked by depression and addictions, has taken long breaks and has already announced several times that he is putting his gloves away. This was notably the case in 2022. “After long procrastination, I finally decided to retire on my 34th birthday,” he tweeted before changing his mind.
