While the dictatorship of Bashar al-Assad has collapsed, Syria is still bombed by Israel on one side and Turkey on the other. And the new Islamist government installed in Damascus worries a large part of Syrian society, particularly regarding the rights of women and minorities. The Arab-Kurdish left, which is currently resisting armed attacks from racist militias subservient to Erdogan, must have its say on the future of Syria.

Unitary call
In recent weeks, announcements of layoffs and job cuts in the private sector or positions in the public sector have continued. Many sectors are affected: automobiles of course, chemicals, mass distribution, metallurgy but also national education, culture, health, local authorities… Hundreds of thousands of jobs are affected.

On December 14, Cyclone Chido reached the Mayotte archipelago with wind gusts of more than 220 km/h, unheard of in ninety years.
