It rained heavily this Wednesday, January 8, 2025 in the Eure department. And the consequences are numerous. Flooded roads, submerged cellars… The damage is still being recorded.
Firefighters had to carry out no less than 46 interventions for flooded basements. “And more than 300 calls » for events related to bad weather. For the moment, the damage is only material. No injured people were treated by Sdis emergency services.
On orange alert for floods
In the space of 24 hours, around 50 mm of water fell according to specialist Kévin Beaudribos. And according to firefighters, it was the department as a whole that was affected.
On social networks, impressive images are flooding in. At the same time, Météo France placed the department on orange alert for flooding. The Epte river is particularly monitored.
