For cross-border commuters used to stocking up d’essence or from diesel in Luxembourg, the year 2025 is off to a bad start: all prices will increaseTuesday January 7.
We take stock of the new prices.
Petrol, diesel: here are the new prices in Luxembourg
In a press release, the Luxembourg government announces that lead-free 95 will increase by 3.8 cents. Namely the most significant increase.
Here are the details of the increases and new prices:
-- Lead free 95: 1.534 euros (+ 3.8 cents).
- Lead free 98: 1.625 euros (+ 2.2 cents).
- Diesel: 1,498 euros (+ 2 cents).
Prices still lower than in France
Although prices increase in Luxembourg, they remain much lower than those displayed at the service stations in Moselle, located near the border.
